Watch the program here! Join us live at 7 p.m.

Over the past decade, emojis have become integral to digital communication and are currently used by 92% πŸ“ˆ of the world’s online population. Emojis have not only become a friendly mode of self-expression πŸ˜‚, but also a crossroad of culture, creativity, and the struggle for inclusion and equity.β€Š

In recent surveys, most people say they believe emojis have the power to create positive change in the world. While the majority of Black, Asian, and Latinx emoji users in the US believe emojis contribute to important discussions around these issues, 41% of US emoji users say they feel their identities are not adequately reflected in the current roster of emojis.

Can a more inclusive library of emojis πŸ‘ͺ lead to a more inclusive world? πŸ•ŠοΈ How do we get there and who makes the decisions about new emojis? Join CHM as we explore these questions and more.
