Group Visits


Reserve group admission for 10 to 60 visitors and explore the Museum privately with an experienced docent or at your own pace in a self-guided tour. Groups receive a 10 percent discount at the Museum store and café as well as general admission to all Museum exhibits.

Reservations ensure that your group moves quickly through ticketing and a brief orientation. Admission is not guaranteed for groups without reservations.

Docent-led Group Visits

A docent-led group visit offers an immersive and educational experience guided by knowledgeable Museum docent volunteers. During the visit, groups are led through curated exhibitions, where docents provide insightful commentary, historical context, and engaging anecdotes about the artifacts on display. Docents tailor their presentations to the interests and knowledge level of the group, encouraging interactive discussions.

• Group size: 10 minimum / 60 maximum
• Minimum 6 wks. advance booking required
• Docent-led tours last approximately 1 hour
• $22 per adult admission with access to all exhibits
• 10% off the Museum Store and Café and free parking

Self-guided Group Visits

With a self-guided visit reservation, groups have the freedom to explore exhibits and interactive displays at their leisure, without a docent. While Museum staff may be available to provide assistance or answer questions, the focus of a self-guided visit reservation is on independent exploration and discovery, allowing groups to tailor their Museum experience to their specific interests and preferences.

• Group size: 10 minimum / 60 maximum
• 4 wks. advance booking preferred and min. of 72 hrs. required
• Unlimited time in exhibits during business hours
• $19.50 per adult admission with access to all exhibits
• 10% off the Museum Store and Café and free parking
