Watch a television Western written by a computer in 1960!

With the help of artificial intelligence, computers today can generate new poetry, novels, songs, images, and other creative works. But did you know computers could actually write a screenplay over 50 years ago?

The film was produced for the CBS television show Tomorrow for a segment on “The Thinking Machine.” MIT’s Doug Ross helped program the TX-0 computer to produce the script for the Western.
