Adobe Fellow Thomas Knoll, along with his brother John Knoll, co-created Adobe Photoshop. Since version 1.0 shipped in 1990, Thomas has continued to work with Adobe on Photoshop and Photoshop-related products. He is the creator of the Adobe Color Engine (ACE) which is used by nearly all Adobe software products for their color management features. He created the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in, which is also used as the core of the Develop module in Adobe Lightroom. He is the author of the Digital Negative (DNG) file format specification. In his spare time, he is an avid amateur photographer.
