Steve Schiro is corporate vice president, Home & Retail Division for Microsoft and vice president retail, Americas, Worldwide Retail Services & GTM’s. The group’s charter is to maximize sales and profits of Microsoft products and services to end users through retail and mass-market distribution channels. The retail group is responsible for all Microsoft products sold through those channels and is hosted in the Entertainment & Devices Division (EDD) of Microsoft Corporation. Schiro joined Microsoft in March 1995. He has 25 years of computer software sales and marketing experience from various positions at Intuit Inc., Borland International Inc. and Ansa Software. He has been involved in many aspects of the PC technology industry, international software sales efforts and began his professional career in the consumer marketing industry working for Procter & Gamble Co. Schiro holds a bachelor of economics degree from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif. He has served on the board of directors of several PC industry associations.
