Bo Ewald is currently CEO of Silicon Graphics, Inc., and has over 25 years of relevant industry experience in the high performance computing markets. He is a seasoned industry veteran with a successful track record as a CEO.
Prior to SGI, Bo was Chairman and CEO of Linux Networx, Inc. Earlier, Bo served as President of Human Resource Solutions of Ceridian Corporation; CEO of Scale Eight, Inc, a high performance network-clustered storage company; and President and CEO of E Stamp. Bo also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI), and President and Chief Operating Officer of Cray Research, Inc. Bo began his management career at Los Alamos National Laboratory as the head of its Computing and Communications Division. He is involved in various industry organizations and was appointed to the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee from 1997 to 2001.
Bo earned Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada.
