Richard R. John

Richard R. John is professor of history and communications at Columbia University. His publications include the prize-winning Network Nation: Inventing American Telecommunications and Spreading the News: The American Postal System from Franklin to Morse. He served as a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center, a visiting professor at Paris' École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, and president of the Business History Conference. John has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for his current writing project.
