Philip McKinney

Philip McKinney is an innovation expert who has held positions at a wide range of companies throughout his career. Most recently, he served as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Hewlett-Packard's $40 billion Personal Systems Group, with responsibility for long-range strategic planning and research and development for all of the company’s PC product lines, including notebooks, desktops, workstations, and displays. Phil was the founder and director of Hewlett-Packard’s Innovation Program Office (IPO), a team chartered to identify, incubate, and launch business and product innovations. He has been profiled or had his work on innovation written about in media outlets ranging from the tech press to Vanity Fair, BusinessWeek, Fast Company, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
