Matthew Ferraro

Aerospace Engineer, Applied Research and Development, Planet

Matt Ferraro grew up in Cleveland, Ohio building everything from trebuchets and ballistas to armored suits and air cannons. He later studied Aerospace Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There he worked on Ruben's tubes, a roller coaster, and several RC airplanes from scratch while spending his summers interning at NASA to work on wind tunnels and spacecraft. Now in San Francisco, Matt works on the Research and Development team at Planet Labs. His work is primarily forward-looking--to design the next generation of satellites using exotic technology combined with off the shelf components.
