Stanford Curator for History of Science and Technology Collections
Henry Lowood has been curator for history of science and technology collections in the Stanford Libraries since 1983. He is also a lecturer in the Science and Technology Studies Program, the History and Philosophy of Science Program, and the German Studies Department at Stanford. With Tim Lenoir, he is co-principal investigator of How They Got Game: The History of Interactive Simulations and Videogames, a research project funded by the Stanford Humanities Laboratory. He offers Stanford students a popular annual course on the history of computer game design. He is also co-curator of the Machinima Archive, hosted by the Internet Archive.
