Eric Copenhaver

PhD Student, Physics, University of California, Berkeley

Eric Copenhaver grew up in Ohio and West Virginia dreaming of being a rockstar. After spending his freshman year at The University of Akron as a jazz guitar major, he hung up the axe and picked up the pen as his sword, double-majoring in Philosophy and Physics. As a physics PhD candidate at University of California, Berkeley, he shoots lasers at cooled atoms and exploits their quantum properties to make really precise measurements. Eric was born on the day the Hubble Space Telescope was launched, just to make you jealous.
