Dr. Nassi is the founder of TidalScale, Inc. and also a Professor of Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz. Prior to this he was an EVP and the Chief Scientist of SAP. Dr. Nassi has helped start three other companies: Encore Computer (symmetric multiprocessors), InfoGear Technology (internet appliances and services - acquired by Cisco), and Firetide (wireless mesh networks). He has held executive positions at Cisco Systems, Apple Computer, Visual Technology and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Ike is a founder and an active Trustee of the Computer History Museum. He is on the Industry Advisory Board of the IEEE Computer Society. He has also been a visiting scholar at Stanford, Berkeley, and a researcher at MIT.
Ike holds a Certificate for Distinguished Service from the Department of Defense and was a member of the DARPA's Information Systems and Technology group. He graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
