David Crane

Game Industry Pioneer

David Crane is a pioneer of the video game industry with over 45 years of experience in console, mobile, and online video game creation, development, and publishing. As an early Atari employee and subsequent cofounder of Activision, he was instrumental in launching the third-party video game software industry. His industry awards include the 2010 AIAS Academy Pioneer Award, the 2009 IGN.COM “Top 100 Game Creators of All Time,” the 2003 Game Developers Choice “First Penguin Award,” and the 1990 Parent’s Choice Award for portraying positive human values in gaming.
