Czeslaw Jan Grycz

CEO and Publisher, Octavo

Octavo was founded in 1997 by Adobe Systems co-founder, John Warnock. Its principal activities involve ultra-high resolution digital imaging technologies and publishing processes mostly involving rare books and special collections. Octavo's primary partner institutions are libraries, museums, and archives. Its equipment is currently permanently installed at the Library of Congress in the US, and at the Bodleian Library (Oxford) in the UK.

An editor and author of numerous technical and scholarly articles and publications, Mr. Grycz has taught several courses on Internet publishing technologies and in library science. He was instrumental in the formation of a post-graduate Center of Excellence in Information Management at Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, which serves professional librarians and information specialists from the Central European region.
