Carl Bass is a former president and chief executive officer of Autodesk. He originally joined Autodesk when it acquired Ithaca Software, which he cofounded to commercialize HOOPS, a 3D graphics system originally developed at Cornell University in the mid-1980s. He also cofounded Buzzsaw, which was also acquired by Autodesk. Bass has served on the Board of Directors of Autodesk, Zendesk, Planet, VELO3D, Formlabs, Box, and Built Robotics, as well as numerous nonprofits.
