Barbara Robertson was a senior editor at Computer Graphics World for 20 years and continues working with that magazine and others as a freelance writer. Her articles have appeared in Variety, Cinefex, Animation Magazine, VFX Voice, Post, Studio Daily, AWN, and other publications and websites. Many are cited by scholars. She has written two books, The Art of Madagascar 3 and The Art of Penguins of Madagascar, and her travel essays have appeared in several anthologies. She has led panels, moderated conferences, and served on film festival juries. Writing awards include an Eddy, an Outstanding Article Award from the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and the Jesse H. Neal Award. She serves on the board of directors for the Marin Master Gardeners, writes scripts for the MMG video team, and is on the advisory board for the VIEW Conference on digital media.
