Anwesha Mishra is a senior at Branham High School in San Jose, CA. She has been involved with CHM since her sophomore year as a volunteer teen intern in the Teen Internship Program and as a member of CHM’s Teen Content Team in 2021, working with other teen alumni to explore artificial intelligence and innovation through a teen perspective. Anwesha has been in the Associative Student Body (ASB) for four years and serves as the ASB executive outreach coordinator, leading Winter Wishes and piloting the Student Senate. At school, she is on the varsity field hockey team and president of National Honor Society. Anwesha often spends her weekends playing field hockey with the Olympic development team or teaching students robotics. As the founder of non-profit Rays of Smiles and being involved in FIRST robotics for eight years, she has a developed passion for giving back to her community through service and technology. Anwesha is currently engaged in research to develop a machine learning method that better diagnoses liver disease, especially in third world countries.
