Aisha Sheikh

Design Strategist & Founder, Simplexity

Aisha Sheikh is a techno-utopian design strategist, entrepreneur, and educator. She brings over a decade of experience working in San Francisco, Toronto, London, Nairobi and Amman.

As founder of Simplexity, she is an impact-oriented design thinker and doer, and has worn many hats to empower businesses with a positive mission. Most recently in the Bay Area she has consulted for Stanford ChangeLabs, IDEO.org, Elefint Designs, and SafetyWing, a startup in Y-Combinator’s accelerator. While she is not working with businesses, she’s teaching as a speaker, workshop facilitator or classroom educator. Aisha taught 7 I-Lab design courses at the renowned student-centered school for the gifted — The Nueva School. In her spare time, she's involved in global community building as co-ambassador of Sandbox Global, a high-impact network of global entrepreneurs.

Prior to the Bay Area, Aisha worked in Jordan with Junior Achievement, where she advised The World Bank and UNESCO to advance students in their entrepreneurship endeavors throughout 15 Middle East countries. She also worked at a couple of Toronto’s boutique design studios.

Aisha received a Bachelors of Design at OCAD University and a Masters of Architecture at McGill University. She is a recipient of The Coaching Fellowship – executive leadership coaching for female leaders; and Singularity University's Global Solutions Program Fellow, and Ventures Incubator – focusing on exponential technologies, and building scalable companies impacting a billion people.
