Since 2006 Melissa Rey has been the Executive Director of the Cabrillo Education Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching educational excellence in the local Coastside public schools through fundraising and community outreach. Prior to taking the helm of the Cabrillo Education Foundation, Melissa served as President of ReyComm Consulting, a marketing and communications consulting firm she co-founded in 1997. From 1978 to 1988, Melissa worked as a Senior Worldwide Marketing Communications Group Manager at Intel Corporation. Ms. Rey was responsible for directing and supervising the development of global market driven communication programs for seven business units which included leading the IntelX86 (8086 through the 386) marketing communications programs.
Melissa served as a member of the 2001/2 and 2002/3 San Mateo County Grand Jury, she also served on the Board of Directors of the Business/Professional Advertising Association for two years. Melissa, a certified business communicator (CBC) received her B.A. in advertising from San Jose State University.
Melissa and her husband live in Half Moon Bay where they raised their three sons.
