Stephanie (Steffi) Czerny is cofounder of the DLD Conference and since 2010 Managing Director of DLD Media GmbH, a subsidiary of Hubert Burda Media, based in Munich.
Since 2005, DLD explores the key question of how digitalization is changing our life, society and economy. The conference platform connects thought leaders and visionaries of the digital economy with business executives, investors, scientists, journalists and artists from all over the world. The Economist named DLD the most important innovation conference out of Europe. Over the year, DLD hosts conferences and topical events in Munich, Brussels, London, Tel Aviv, New York, Palo Alto, Singapore, and other innovation hotspots worldwide.
In 2018, Steffi Czerny received the Bavarian Order of Merit from Bavarian Minister President Markus Söder. She is an active member of various advisory boards and committees, such as the University of Bayreuth, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (ZKM Karlsruhe), Biotopia Life Science Museum, and Deutsches Museum.
