Michael S. Malone is one of the world's best-known technology writers, covering Silicon Valley and high-tech for more than 30 years. His articles and editorials have appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Fortune, and for two years he was a columnist for the New York Times. After earning two degrees from Santa Clara University, he joined the San Jose Mercury News as the world’s first daily high tech reporter. There, he was nominated twice for Pulitzer Prizes in investigative reporting. At Forbes, he was editor-in-chief of the nation’s largest circulation high tech business magazine, Forbes ASAP. Michael has authored or coauthored more than twenty award-winning books, including Bill and Dave, which was named by Financial Management magazine as the greatest business biography ever written. He has hosted three nationally syndicated public television interview series and co-produced the Emmy-nominated primetime PBS miniseries on social entrepreneurs, The New Heroes. Michael holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, where he currently teaches creative writing, and is a Distinguished Friend of Oxford and an associate fellow of the university’s Said Business School.
