Laurie Yoler is an investor and general partner at Playground Global, an early-stage deep-tech venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. She currently sits on several boards including Bose, Church & Dwight, Saltbox, Leaf Logistics, Lacuna, and the Computer History Museum, and has served on the boards of public, private, and nonprofit organizations. An ambitious problem-solver and prolific connector by nature, Yoler has decades of experience operating, scaling, and advising companies from seed startups to multinational corporations. She served as a founding board member of Tesla, serving on the board of directors from the earliest days and on the board of advisors through taking the company public. She was also president of Qualcomm Labs; board member at autonomous vehicle company Zoox (now part of Amazon), founding managing director at GrowthPoint Technology Partners, founder of Sun Microsystems Ventures; and original product manager for the Visa Debit Card.
