Kim Polese

Chairman, CrowdSmart

Kim Polese is a Silicon Valley business leader and the founder of multiple technology companies. Currently, she is Chairman of CrowdSmart, advises numerous early-stage companies, and serves on a number of boards. Kim led the launch of Java at Sun Microsystems and co-founded Internet pioneer Marimba, serving as President, CEO, and Chairman and leading the company through IPO and a successful acquisition. She received a Bachelor's degree in Biophysics from UC Berkeley, studied computer science at the University of Washington, and was granted an Honorary Doctorate in Business and Economics from California State University. An Aspen Institute Crown Fellow, Ms. Polese is the recipient of a number of awards.
