Janet S. Wong is an experienced strategic business executive. She is an independent board director and Audit Committee Chairman of Enviva Partners (NYSE: EVA), a leading global energy company manufacturing sustainable wood bioenergy. Janet also serves as an independent board director of Lumentum (NASDAQ: LITE), a market-leading manufacturer of innovative optical and photonic products, and Allegiance Bancshares (NASDAQ: ABTX), a financial services company. Her qualifications include recognition as an experienced Financial Expert by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange, and NASDAQ. In December 2018, Directors & Boards magazine named her to its Directors to Watch list in recognition of her board governance and leadership experience.
She was a senior partner with KPMG, a global professional services organization, where she spent the majority of her career based in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices providing her with an industry focus in technology, manufacturing, consumer products, and services. Janet has worked with Fortune 500 companies and emerging technology companies that grew to successful publicly listed companies.
Janet also has a strong record of non-profit leadership roles. For the past seven years, Janet has been an Executive Advisor to Ascend, the largest Pan-Asian business organization in North America, where she is a frequent lecturer on leadership and professional development issues at Fortune 500 companies, a recognized global thought leader on corporate diversity and leadership, and led the largest network of Asian corporate board directors from September 2018-March 2021. Her non-profit board experience includes The Computer History Museum, The Thirty Percent Coalition, and the Louisiana Tech University Foundation.
Janet is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Corporate Directors, Silicon Valley Directors Exchange, and Women Corporate Directors. Janet earned her Master of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University and Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
