Janet S. Wong is an experienced business leader. She is an independent board director and audit committee chairman of Enviva Partners (NYSE: EVA), a leading U.S. manufacturer producing a sustainable energy product for global consumers. Additionally, she serves on the Advisory Board for BIGControls, a cloud-based software technology company based in San Francisco. Janet is a retired partner with KPMG, where she spent the majority of her career based in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices providing her with industry experience in technology, manufacturing and financial services. During her career with KPMG, she worked with Fortune 500 companies and emerging technology companies that successfully listed on an exchange as a public corporation.
Janet also has a strong record of non-profit leadership roles. For the past five years, Janet has been an Executive Advisor to Ascend, the largest Pan-Asian non-profit business organization in North America, where she is a frequent lecturer on leadership and professional development issues at Fortune 500 companies, a recognized global thought leader on corporate diversity and leadership, and leads the largest network of Asian corporate board directors. Her prior non-profit board experience includes The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, Tax-Aid and the American Heart Association where she served on the Audit Committee and Budget Review Committee. She is past Chairman of the Louisiana Tech University College of Business Advisory Board.
Janet is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Corporate Directors, and Women Corporate Directors.
Janet earned her Master of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University and Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
