David Recker has 25 years of experience in microprocessors, digital video, digital communications and wireless technologies, including Bluetooth, NFC, and 802.11x. As Vice President of marketing for Broadcom’s Android Mobility Wireless business, Mr. Recker is responsible for its Android phone and Mobile Accessory Business inclusive of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Combo devices, GNSS/GPS, NFC, and Wireless Charging products, which spans across Android based handset OEMs along with its associated Eco-Systems. In this capacity, he has been responsible for strategy, staffing, market and product development.
Being part of the marketing team that was responsible for managing Broadcom’s first 802.11x WLAN&BT Combo products, he was instrumental in leading the team for launching the WLAN Combo business into the Mobile handset space and helped steer the company into its current position as the technological and market share leader.
Prior to Broadcom, Mr. Recker was a Sr. Product Line Manager for mobile WLAN products at Atheros. Before joining Atheros, Mr. Recker held several development engineering and marketing positions at Zarlink Semiconductors, PM-Sierra, C-Cube Microsystems, and Intel, culminating in experience and background in key industry leading technologies. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson.
