David Luebke is vice president of graphics research at NVIDIA Research, which he helped found in 2006 after eight years on the faculty of the University of Virginia. His principal research interests are computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and virtual & augmented reality. Luebke’s honors include Fellow of the IEEE, the NVIDIA Distinguished Inventor award, the NSF CAREER and DOE Early Career PI awards, and a Test of Time Award for the ACM SIGGRAPH Symposium on Interactive 3D Graphics. He has coauthored a book, a SIGGRAPH Electronic Theater piece, a major museum exhibit, and over a hundred papers, articles, chapters, and patents. Luebke earned a PhD at the University of North Carolina.
