Dan'l Lewin

Former President and Chief Executive Officer, CHM

Dan’l Lewin served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Computer History Museum (CHM) from 2018 to 2024, directing strategic planning, fundraising, and daily operations. Prior to CHM, he spent 17 years at Microsoft leading initiatives to apply technology for public good—spanning campaign and civic tech, affordable internet access, environmental sustainability, and collaborations with leading research universities.

With over 30 years of leadership in Silicon Valley, Lewin held senior roles at NeXT, Apple, Go Corporation, and Sony. Before joining Microsoft in 2001, he was CEO of Aurigin Systems, an early innovator in intellectual property asset management.
