Research Travel Grants

CHM’s Research Travel Grants program provides $1,000 grants for up to four recipients annually to support travel to and use of the Museum’s collection and archives.

The funding for this program is made possible by a bequest from Robert and Bette Finnigan.

Applications are due on June 1 of every year, and decisions will be made by July 1.

To Apply

To apply for a travel grant, please prepare a one-page document as a PDF for each of the following:

1. Resume/CV/Biographical statement.
2. Description of your research, with specific details about how you would like to use the CHM collection and archives.
3. Practical budget description of how you will use the grant funds for your research visit.
4. Two references, including names, titles, and email addresses.
