David Pogue spent his early career conducting Broadway musicals, writing the back-page column for Macworld magazine, and writing Macs for Dummies, Mac FAQs, and, with Joe Schorr, Macworld Mac Secrets. He went on to write the New York Times tech column for 13 years, win seven Emmys for his stories on CBS Sunday Morning, and create the Missing Manual Series of books, which included 120 titles. Pogue won a Loeb Award for journalism and received two Webby awards. He has an honorary doctorate in music.
