DJ Patil

DJ Patil is an entrepreneur, investor, scientist, and public policy leader. He is the cofounder of Warp Sciences, which accelerates medicine development, and was founding CTO of Devoted Health. Known for co-coining the term “data scientist,” he was appointed by President Obama as the first U.S. Chief Data Scientist. Patil led programs spanning federal data, precision medicine, cancer research, criminal justice reform, and national security. He received the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the department’s highest civilian honor. His early-stage investments include Figma, Confluent, Tabular, Monte Carlo, Chronosphere, Sumo Logic, Ola, and RelateIQ, among other companies.
