Jeff Tarr cofounded Operation Match, widely regarded as the first computer-based dating service, in 1965, when he was an undergraduate at Harvard University. He began his professional career at McKinsey & Company, went on to work at leading Wall Street firms, and in 1981 founded Risk Arbitrage Partners. Since 1995, he has worked as an independent consultant.
