Description
Bas Ording studied Interaction Design in the Netherlands. Upon graduating in 1998, Ording chose to join Apple over MetaCreations after being personally courted by Steve Jobs. Ording joined the Human Interface (HI) group and immediately began to work on animations and interactions for the new Mac OS X Aqua interface. While continuing to work on new versions of OS X, Ording and other members of HI began to experiment with multitouch gesture-based interfaces, which became a prototype tablet project, that then ultimately became the basis for the iPhone user interface. Ording discusses working on the iPhone and the iPad.
