Les Davis is one of the United States' most influential computer designers, having worked closely with supercomputer pioneer Seymour Cray for over three decades. In this interview, Davis recalls his early childhood and formative experiences then discusses his early U.S. Navy experience and his first job at ERA (Engineering Research Associates). Seymour Cray's engineering style and most of his important computer systems are discussed at length.
