Doug Menuez

Doug Menuez is an American photographer (b. 1957) whose wide-ranging career and concern over 30 years has been to explore and reflect the realities of the human condition in his work. After studies at the San Francisco Art Institute and San Francisco State, he began he began his career freelancing in 1981 for Time, LIFE, Newsweek, Fortune, the New York Times Magazine, and many other publications. Menuez has stood at the North Pole, crossed the Sahara, had tea with Svetlana Stalin, and held a chunk of Einstein's brain. He’s published four books, was featured in nine Day in the Life books, and has won numerous awards. His extensive archive of over one million images was acquired by Stanford University Libraries in 2004.

His new book Fearless Genius: The Digital Revolution in Silicon Valley, 1985–2000 from Simon & Schuster’s Atria Books is now traveling worldwide as a fine art exhibition of Silicon Valley’s greatest innovators, including Steve Jobs, offering a behind-the-scenes look as they changed the world.
